Katie Peterson

Educational Developer for Academic Advisors

Katie Peterson is the Educational Developer for Academic Advisors, working closely with both the CTLI team and University Advising to create campus-wide professional development activities for the academic advisors. In this role, Katie collaborates with academic units to create and support onboarding, professional development, and learning activities for academic advisors, promoting the needs of advisors as educators and leading ongoing professional and leadership initiatives.

Prior to this role, Katie served as the Assistant Director of Pre-Health & Human Biology Advising in MSU’s College of Natural Science and has advised MSU Spartans since Fall 2016. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University.
