Bethany Meadows, Ph.D.
Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist
Dr. Bethany Meadows (she/they) is an Academic Specialist at MSU’s Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation who specializes in facilitating educational development on inclusive pedagogical practices. Bethany is committed to an intersectional approach to inclusive education for all learners.
Prior to joining CTLI, Bethany worked at the Writing Center at MSU in various teaching and administrative roles, including as a Graduate Assistant Director. They earned their Ph.D. in Writing and Rhetoric with a graduate specialization in Women’s and Gender Studies from Michigan State. Her dissertation focused on the intersections of feminisms, administrative work, and sexual violence rhetoric and policy.
Bethany holds a BA in English and BS.Ed in Integrated Language Arts Education from Ashland University as well as an MA in Rhetoric and Composition at Ball State University. Throughout her career, she has won several teaching awards and has taught a wide range of courses in K-12, community college, and university contexts. More recently, their publications have appeared in Peitho, The Journal of Multimodal Rhetorics, Present Tense, and Praxis.
