Academic Specialist
Nate Clason (he/him) is an Academic Specialist in the Office of Teaching and Learning Innovation. He leads the Student Perceptions of Learning Survey (SPLS), partnering with colleges and departments to incorporate student feedback into holistic approaches to identifying, supporting, and rewarding high-quality teaching.
Nate holds a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University and brings over 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students in online, hybrid, and in-person settings. Prior to his current role, he taught in the College of Education and directed Undergraduate Studies (UGS) programs within the Office of Undergraduate Education.
Outside of work, Nate is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys endurance adventures with his family.
